Swan Street Surgery has used Assured Technology for all our IT equipment and software needs for the past 2 years. We required professional IT support, but a friendly company that would understand all of our equipment and be involved enough in our business to know our future needs. We found all of this and more with Assured Technology. Due to their recommendations and maintenance the doctors at the surgery now feel confident enough to explore new ideas and move forward with new technology. We have reduced downtime by at least 90%. Now we are a paperless surgery, have gone to HIC Online, do electronic faxing and have a designated server. Our Doctors now take their Tablet PC's home and can access their results and patient histories at home enabling them to check results, do reports or enter patient notes at home or at a patients home when doing off site visits. We look forward to continuing our relationship and extending our equipment to new boundaries with Assured Technology.

I was running out of space to store my patient records. Offsite storage is not good enough for the 21st century. I had a vision to not only go paperless but to do it with a pen-based tablet setup. I had not found an IT consultancy / medical software programmer who was prepared to entertain my grand experiment.
Not wanting to type in front of my patients, I was adamant to try a Tablet PC setup. Typing equated to a visit to a bank teller or travel agent- too impersonal. Besides, I seem to remember the patient's details better by referring back to my own handwriting. I now couldn't be happier. As expected there were a couple of teething problems at the start. HIC Online, word processing and electronic reports have made a significant improvement in the efficient running of the practice. Imagine, no more looking for notes for each day and no more filing!
As for the tablet? I thought I would never say this, but I still look forward to consulting because it's a lot more fun now.
